2007-2008 Elementary Annual Report
Principal's Message:
Dear Families of the Ellen Thompson Campus,
This is the time of year when all our students are anxious and looking forward to the long winter break. However, we must remind them that we are just beginning a new trimester and that they all need to remain focused. They should start on their new interest projects or driving questions, continue to read every night, practice their math facts and write in a journal everyday. We are just 1/3rd of the way with this year and we have a long road ahead of us.
I know that this is also the perfect time of year to teach our children to care for others and to share with others. If it is giving a toy to Toys for Tots, dropping $ 0.25 in the Salvation Army Bucket, having your children go through their old toys and find the gently used ones to donate to a homeless shelter for battered women and children, or sending a card to the men and women defending our country. There are endless ways to teach our students to be selfless, caring and giving members of their community. Let us all take advantage of this opportunity.
Have a wonderful Holiday Season.
Sincerely,
Chalita Middleton
