Greetings and welcome to University Preparatory Academy Middle School!
University Prep Middle School strives to provide students with an exceptional education. Our school serves over 400 students in grades 6, 7 and 8. We offer a rigorous curriculum that is designed to be enriching and motivating. This year, we are excited to begin our journey as an International Baccalaureate (IB) candidate school. The IB program is recognized around the world as a highly engaging program that puts students on a solid path to college, where students are challenged in English Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Studies, Spanish, Technology, Music and Art. In addition, we offer a host of extracurricular activities and supplemental programs that meet an array of student interests.
The entire staff at UPA Middle school is committed to the success of each one of our scholars. We work as a team to ensure our students have a safe, clean, positive and productive learning environment by holding our students to the highest expectations. We depend on families to work as partners in our educational program as this is a critical component of our success. Our experience tells us that a strong relationship between home and school is necessary to foster academic and social excellence and help us achieve our mission, “to prove that urban children can succeed in college through personalized learning and relentless commitment to their success”.
