The College Counseling Office at University Prep High School consists of two full-time and one part-time employee. On a daily basis, students have access to the college counselor and assistant college counselor in the office. These students receive assistance with college preparation, college applications, academic advising  as well as personal counseling. The alumni of University Prep are tracked for their first two years in college by an additional staff member and given assistance in a variety of areas.

University Prep High School is divided into two divisions: Junior Institute, which consists of 9th and 10th grades, and Senior Institute, which consists of 11th and 12th grades.
