Imagine a school where every student is excited to get up in the morning and enter the classroom energized to put forth his best effort, where teachers deeply know each individual student and do whatever it takes to engage every student and develop her potential, where students are held to high academic and behavioral standards while pursuing projects of their own interest. Imagine a school culture characterized by respect, hard work, focused attention, mutual support and encouragement, mixed in with a good measure of fun.

Imagine a school community where parents, teachers, and students work together to design each student's learning plan, monitor each student's progress and make decisions regarding each student's program.

Imagine a K-12 school system where each year brings new experiences through a rich arts program, state of the art technology resources, and a series of trips that explore local, national and international communities - thirteen years of exciting, engaging learning that broadens every student's knowledge of all the world has to offer and builds each student's understanding of his own unique capabilities and interests.

Imagine a world in which every student completes college or another post-secondary educational program and enters adulthood with all the tools necessary to enjoy a rich and fulfilling life. This is our vision for University Prep students, and all our efforts are pointed towards this end.

University Prep Academy prides itself on its outstanding record of graduating students and sending them on to post-secondary education. As you browse our site, you will learn about the people, programs, and practices that have built and continue to maintain our record of success. Whether you'd like to learn more about the Individualized Learning Plans that drive each student's experience, explore the ways in which we establish a rigorous learning environment, or find out what we do to provide exciting programs that engage all our students, you will find answers to your questions within these pages.

Along with the usual informational pages, you will find features for parents to access information about their individual children, as well as spaces for both student and parent conversations.
